Hong Kong, 27 November 2018 – In today’s world of hectic schedules, digital notifications, and constant distractions, silence is a rare commodity. As part of a group-wide initiative to provide a quiet retreat, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Washington DCis offering ‘Silent Night’.
At 5p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018,only silence will accompany treatments, there will be no talking or music within the spa. This evening is intended to instill a sense of peace and allow for guests to experience quiet mindfulness. Any spoken communication will take place in a brief consultation at the beginning of the tranquil journey, before the guest changes into their robe.
As part of the experience The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC has partnered with D.C.- based recharj, a modern meditation and power nap studio, andAromatherapy Associatesto provide Hydrate and Meditate. The complimentary one-hour session begins at 6:00pm with the application of a hydrosol sheet mask that helps hydrate and firm, leaving skin looking plump, tightened and radiant. While the mask sets, guests are guided through a mindful meditation by a recharj teacher. Reawaken to the internal and external experiences of the present moment through a practice that cultivates awareness, self-regulation, and the capacity for presence.
Guests are also encouraged to take advantage of the Spa’s Digital Wellnessprogram. This includes a range of wellness features including adult coloring books and complimentary curated books designed to help guests disconnect from technology. The Digital Wellness Escape is a one-hour and 50-minute treatment that concentrates on the head, eyes, neck, shoulders, hands, and feet. This restorative treatment aims to ease stresses and strains resulting from the frequent use of digital devices.
