Going Through Transitions in Life Meditation
I’ve been there. You’ve been there. We’ve all been there. We’re having a bad day. We broke up with some, someone broke up with us. We’ve hit a rut. We’re in a funk. And, here is the good news….it’s OKAY. Give yourself the moment. Go through your emotions and on the flip side, make the concerted effort, when you feel the moment, day, week or month has passed to move on. Turn the light switch on and press play. Change your perspective and look for the good that surrounds you. The people and experiences that add value to your life and give you joy and happiness. We all have set backs, and it’s okay to move through negative emotions. It is the awareness and compassion we show ourselves that make painfull moments more bearable.
Whether you’re beating yourself for missing a friend’s birthday or your business hit a slump, just remember that everything in life is transient and imperminent. The negative emotions won’t last forever, but sometimes we have to sulk in the sadness, feel embarrassed or get knocked down before we can turn the page and be okay again. Walk through the storm until the rain drops subside, the dark clouds dissipate into rainbows and rays of bright golden light.
Learning to allow yourself these moments of “so-called” weakness or sensitivity, does not reflect poorly on you as an individual, rather it demonstrates you’re human. That you are resillient. You have the strength to overcome misfortune and hurt and come back stronger, wiser, more prepared to face whatever life’s challenges may come your way. Just remember…you’re not the only one.
