Active Nutrition Workshop
Discover what it means to actually live well; eating a well-balanced diet is only a start. Building a foundation in this 2 hour workshop you will learn about sports nutrition, the study of nutrition and how it relates to physical activity, from yoga to body building and the six essential nutrients that our bodies need to function properly. Looking at the consequences of poor nutrition and how it makes you feel and what you can do to make improvements. Become aware of your own nutritional patterns through food journaling, an activity we will do together in class. Find out what this information means to your overall health and relates to how well you perform certain activities. We’ll discuss obstacles that stand in the way of maintaining healthy nutrition in today’s fast paced world. Learn how to create menus that work for you, that are fast and easy to incorporate in your daily life. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be time consuming nor expensive if you have the right tools and information.
