Mindful Eating + Wellness
It is not always easy to identify what is right for you when it comes to healthy eating. The media encourages fad diets that are just not sustainable, and research reports differing views on nutrition and how to be healthy. Fortunately, nutritious eating and living a sustainable healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be confusing! By meeting with me, I will dispel any nutrition myths and provide health advice through a non-diet approach that looks at your ability to stay committed to your health and wellness goals. We will work together to integrate mindful and intuitive eating strategies into your daily life that include listening to your body and how it feels when making food choices, while not restricting yourself completely from foods you enjoy. I seek to assist you in building a healthy relationship with food that will last a lifetime and make food more about relishing the experience than a chore or merely a fuel for survival.
That being said, there is no one-size-fits-all diet that can be prescribed to fit everyone’s everyday lifestyle. As unique individuals, there are numerous factors that contribute to our overall health and wellness, helping us operate at the peak of performance. These factors include, but are not limited to diet, exercise, stress, time, family and career.
To determine what works and what doesn’t work for you is based around the awareness you have for your body and how it feels. Together with becoming educated about why certain foods can either help or hinder your success in becoming the happiest healthy version of yourself.
