Are you looking for a versatile recipe that can be served as a quick, on-the-go breakfast, show-stopper accompaniment to brunch, healthy snack or supplement for dessert? Well this beauty will definitely fit the bill. Let’s take a closer look at the health benefits in the main components, matcha tea and chia seeds.

What are the health benefits of matcha tea?

Would you believe consuming one cup of match tea is equivalent to drinking ten cups of regular green tea?!

  • Detoxifies effectively and naturally
  • Calms the mind and soothes the body
  • Is rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins

Chia seeds, also known as salvia hispanica, native to central and southern Mexico and Guatemala have been finding their way into a vast variety of recipes over the past few years, and there is good reason for their immense popularity!

Want the recipe?

Matcha Tea Chia Pudding

2 cups Almond Milk

2 tsp Honey

1 tsp Matcha Tea

1/4 tsp Ground Cardamon

1/8 tsp Ground Ginger

1/2 cup Chia Seeds

DIRECTIONS

In a medium mixing bowl whisk together almond milk, honey, matcha tea, ground cardamon, and ground ginger. Pour the chia seeds into the liquid and whisk together until combined.

Place in an airtight container and refrigerate for 2-4 hours or overnight before serving. Stir and layer with a Greek yogurt and fresh seasonal fruit.
